Guyana has nine Indigenous Nations that settled across Guyana. The Indigenous Peoples are the very first inhabitants of the land. They share a rich and diverse culture and are one of the many ethnic groups that make up the peoples of Guyana. In Guyana, there are a total of approximately 12,410 square miles, or 35,170 square kilometers of land occupied by the Indigenous Peoples.
